What I Ate During Huntsville Restaurant Week
I always make sure to #DineHsv during Huntsville Restaurant Week! Huntsville Restaurant Week is a 10-day culinary celebration. Local restaurants offer special menu items or other promotions that are specific to the week.
Bubby’s Diner
My husband and I had their Three Course Dinner for $30 which was their Restaurant Week Special. We chose the onion rings as our appetizer, the Patty Melt and the Classic Burger as our entrees, and the blueberry cobbler for dessert.
The blueberry cobbler was served with a very large scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and it was overflowing with blueberries. We ate it so fast that I forgot to take a photo! Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience. Our waitress was super friendly and came back often to check on us, and we appreciated the ‘50s vibe of the restaurant.
Good Company Café
I was happy to see the Dad’s Egg Sandwich on their Restaurant Week Special menu. My breakfast group orders this item often. In basic terms, it’s a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. But this one is turned up a notch with the addition of some tasty garlic aioli and nicely toasted bread. As I said in my previous review of this café, they serve Rooster’s Crow coffee which is my favorite in town. Since it was such a hot day, I had a yummy iced mocha with my breakfast sandwich. The combo was a $10 special, which saved me about $2.00.
Canadian Bakin
I placed an order online before leaving for work, and it was there waiting for me when I arrived. Their Restaurant Week Special was the Bless Your Heart-wich, and I added a Stacy’s Mom (cherry limeade). This has always been my go-to place for bagels—best ones in town! This bagel sandwich was very unique. It had pimento cheese, bacon jam, collard greens, and a fried green tomato. I devoured it and loved every bite! The limeade was refreshing, house-made and not too sweet.
I always wish I had more time to take advantage of restaurant week specials. There are so many amazing offers to choose from! I look forward to doing this again next year.
